I bought this machine from Amazon in July and have been enjoying working out on it for the past couple of months! Several things attracted me to this machine after doing extensive research on various sites: lots of great reviews including ease of assembling; cost value and stability for the amount of machine delivered; small footprint size; stride length; and ability to go forward and reverse. This machine delivers on all counts that were important to me.
It took me about 2 hrs to assemble by myself which was better than expected considering the amount of parts laying on the floor. I had no problems following the well-written instructions and all parts were included, except that when attaching the pedal piece to the arms I did have to use a pair of pliers to keep a bolt on one end stationary to tighten the bolt on the other end.
I use this machine about 3-4 times a week and it's very smooth and stable, and feels just as good as gym ellipticals I've used in the past. True that a backlight on the LCD would be nice but it's no biggie as I can just turn on a lamp if need be. I love the versatility of the programs versus manual.
All in all, I'm very very pleased with my purchase and would highly recommend it, including the fact that I saved on shipping by buying through Amazon.

Great elliptical, especially for the money. Easy to put together, runs quiet and smooth. I cancelled my gym membership because I wasn't going, this machine works as good as the ones in the gym. Easy to move.

This trainer arrived in less than a week in excellent condition with inside delivery. It took my husband most of an evening to put together. We started using it as soon as he finished. It's smooth, quiet and a lot of fun. I'm overweight and out of shape, so it's taken me two weeks to work up to 15 minutes on it at the ride in the park level 1 setting. My husband, on the other hand, goes a lot faster and longer.
I think of the two of us, I like using it the best. I really enjoy it. It provides good exercise for the whole body and for a variable range of fitness levels. It's almost totally silent, which makes it easy to listen to my ipod or watch tv while using it.
I bought a Schwinn 230 recumbant bike at the same time I purchased this. That might sound redundant, but the two compliment one another nicely.
I would buy it again in a heartbeat.

After doing a ton of research and reading reviews on many ellipticals, I decided on the Schwinn 430. I was looking for a gym qaulity machine in terms of sturdiness and durability at a value price. I have owned this machine for a couple months now and have absolutely no complaints. Assembly took approx 2hrs but it was an easy process. The machine is very sturdy and the workouts have been exactly what I was looking for. So far would absolutely recommend this to any of my friends and would buy this machine again in a heart beat. Hope this review helps.

I purchased this after trying out machines in stores. I loved the feel of the $1000 Schwinn and decided to try it after reading all the great reviews here. This is perfect for me. Very small, very smooth and very quiet. Perfect stride for me and my husband, I am 5'4", he is 6 foot. I can go as fast as I want and still feel very stable. This went together easily and ABF freight called when they rec'd to make an appt. They helped bring it into the garage. We did purchase a can of white grease at the time of purchase. My husband said he had no problem with knowing how much to tighten bolts so no squeaks for me! The instructions were easy to follow and precise. I was also looking at the Horizon for the same price as the Schwinn but decided on the Schwinn because I have a recumbent bicycle that is fabulous and this machine has far and above more user comments to compare your needs and wants to. Thanks all for your reviews, it was very helpful in helping me make the right decision for myself.
